What the car is rolling on
Wheels and tyres
A fitment records when a set went on. What it describes runs until the next one, so there is always exactly one answer to what was fitted on a given day. Putting the original wheels back on is a new entry rather than a return to the old one — the period is the thing here, and the wheels are its label. Recording the set already on the car is not a change: date it before the history begins, or every drive before that date falls into a period of its own.
